Ubuntu is the GUI (Graphical User Interface) Version of Linux Operating System. So when ever we want to use the Traditional UNIX environment known as CLI (Command Line Interface) we need to open “Terminal” window where a user can type the commands to tell the computer what to do. It is very similar to command prompt of the Windows Operating system.

We can open the terminal Window by two ways.
1. By searching “Terminal” on “Dash Home” you will get the terminal on search result. Choose “Terminal‘ and hit enter. It will open the “Terminal” Window.
2. By using Keyboard shortcut.
Just type Alt + Ctrl + T simultaneously in Ubuntu to open Terminal Window.
